Anne Anquillare, CFA
Chief Executive Officer & President
Anne has been active in the private equity industry since 1993, serving as general partner of Walden Capital Partners; an SBIC fund licensed in 1996, and working in the investment business unit for Prudential Insurance Company of America. From 1998-2000, Anne served on the Board of Governors of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies. She has been a frequent guest speaker for organizations including SBIA, and The Capital Roundtable. Anne has been quoted in the LA Times, CBS News, Money Management Intelligent, and the Wall Street Journal. In 2015, Anne was a recipient of NJ Biz’s Best Fifty Women in Business.
Beth Manzi, CPA
Chief Operating Officer
Beth oversees PEF’s GP accounting operations, including investor services, fund accounting and reporting and compliance. Beth has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry which includes audit, tax and fund administration services for private equity and hedge funds with diverse investment strategies and structures. Prior to joining PEF in 2009, Beth was the CFO/CCO of Washington Corner Capital Management, L.P., an investment adviser to a high-yield and distressed debt fund. Before that, she was the VP of Quality Control and Training at Citi Hedge Fund Services North America, Inc. She is a member of the AICPA and the American Woman’s Society of CPAs and served as the President of the NJ affiliate from 2007-2009. She is also a member of the NYSSCPA and serves on the Investment Management Committee and the Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee.
Chief Revenue Officer
Hank is responsible for PEF’s sales, marketing, and business development efforts to drive revenue streams and identify new opportunities for growth and expansion. Hank has more than 25 years of experience leading companies through rapid growth and profitability. Prior to PEF, Hank was Managing Director, Head of Business Development at Ipreo Private Capital Markets, the premier provider of solutions for portfolio assessment, valuations, and investment performance. Hank joined Ipreo through the acquisition of iLEVEL Solutions, where he was a member of the original executive team that spun the iLEVEL platform out of The Blackstone Group. Hank’s career includes roles as President of ASPEO, a global software development and IT outsourcing company, and SVP of Sales and Marketing for Archive Systems. He has also held executive leadership positions at Magellan Software and Minolta Information Systems.
Sheilagh (Shay) Caufield
Executive Vice President
Sheilagh (Shay) joined PEF Services LLC in September 2014 as an Executive Vice President focusing on strategic business initiatives. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Director at Grosvenor Capital Management and was responsible for the Managed Portfolio business, which provides private capital fund of fund accounting and administration services to large institutional investors. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the Managed Portfolio business, Shay was also responsible for business development and new client implementations. Prior to joining Grosvenor Capital Management, Shay was a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, focusing on audits of investments companies, including private equity funds, hedge funds, and mutual funds.
Executive Vice President
David has been active in the SBIC industry since 1990. He was a senior analyst and manager with the Small Business Administration (SBA), overseeing the regulatory and financial investment practices of a portfolio of SBIC venture funds with $2.2 billion of capital. David has direct, hands-on knowledge of the program — from licensing to operational issues through the distribution stage to wind-up of fund operations for both participating securities and debenture SBIC funds. David has served on the SBA’s regulations and SBIA (formerly NASBIC) CFO training staffs. Before SBA, David was the finance officer for a publicly traded bank and served as a consultant to the financial services industry.
Chief Technology Officer
Joe is responsible for proprietary technology systems, IT security, compliance and technical staff. Joe has more than 15 years of experience in financial systems design and development. Prior to joining PEF Services in 2008, Joe worked for UBS Financial Services as a senior developer on its mission-critical Consolidated Order Entry system for financial advisors. His experience also includes management of a $1 million annual IT training budget. Joe studied application development at The Chubb Institute of Technology, Rockland College and various technical schools with an education that spans structured programming for mainframe application development to object oriented programming for the Java 2 Enterprise Application environment.
Jason has over 14 years of experience as a Controller. Jason started his career in the audit department of Coopers and Lybrand LLC and continued with Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) once the firms merged. From PwC, he went to the internal audit department of CBS where he was responsible for audits of owned and operated radio and television stations. Prior to joining PEF Services in 2013, Jason served as the Vice President of Finance for Nelligan Sports Marketing, a collegiate sports marketing company that was acquired by Learfield Sports in February of 2014.
